Oak Ridge Weekend

Spent Friday night and Saturday in beautiful Oak Ridge, TN. Saturday morning was the road race which is also our state championship. The race had a full field and was fairly slow. There were two climbs on the course and we hit one of them very hard, but the rest of the day was spent trying to move up and trying to hold position. It came down to a field sprint and there was only one lane. Big crash held up most of the field and a dozen or so were in front and battled for the win. I was beside the crash and lost a lot of speed, but am very thankful not to have gotten hurt.

The TT was held on the Oak Ridge National Laboratory property. A really cool closed course 8.2 mile TT on fantastic roads with a large roundabout instead of the typical turn around. I had fair power after the RR and was able to get the win. My last TBRA race of the year with only one USAC race remaining. Nice way to finish it off.
